Award season is upon us again. The nomination list for the 2013 MTV Movie awards was released on Tuesday, 5 March. The ceremony, happening on 14th April, will see the whos who of hollywood lining up to see which movie scoops up the most awards.

Seth Macfarlane’s blockbuster Ted and the captivating new western movie by Quentin Tarantino, Django Unchained recieved the most nominations, both walking away with 7 nominations each, including Movie of the Year, Best On-Screen Duo, Best Fight, Best Kiss and Best WTF Moment . Close on their trail is Silver Linings Playbook with six nominations and The Dark Knight Rises with 5 nominations.

The nominees for the coveted movie of the year include: The Avengers, The Dark Knight Rises, Django Unchained, Silver Linings Playbook and Ted. Twilight Saga: Breaking dawn part 2 only recieved one nomination.
