Malcolm In The Middle star, Frankie Muniz has reportedly suffered a mini- stroke.
The actor, who turned 27 on Wednesday was hospitalized in Arizona on Friday after his fiancé noticed he was having trouble speaking. Muniz is still shocked at the fact that doctors have confirmed that he indeed had a stroke.
Malcolm’s friends took him to the closest emergency room because he also had difficulty understanding them and said he knew there was something wrong when he lost vision in one eye while riding his motorbike.
Doctors have told the child star to rest, but he is soon to go on tour with his band Kingsfoil, in which he is a drummer, later this week. It is still unclear as to whether the shows will continue.
The cause of the mini-stroke is still unknown.
These strokes usually affect those over the age of 55. They temporarily interrupt the blood flow to a part of the brain but do not kill brain tissue.
Not such an old folk problem after all?
