I miss the decades of awesome amusement from the ‘80s through to the ’90s, when ‘gadgets’ used to be as tiny and simple as a Pokemon Tazo all the way to the multipurpose Brick game, which apparently came with 9999 games in 1. The world brought so much excitement along with so much difference.
From conspiracies of demonic creatures popping out from Tazos and attacking young kids, bringing nightmares, to the irrationally simple board game such as Snakes and Ladders that brought every learner in class together. Toys and gadgets of the ’90s were their own particular brand: they were far more than just toys, these gadgets and games were part of us. Yes, these little things that just don’t make sense in the 21st century were so irresistible back then and hell! they sure have made some astonishing memories.
Well here’s a list of my favourites:
Furbies Sheesh! Aren’t these some freaky …
Legos The fact that they are still the best sold items, Legos stand to be the all-time quality toys, well and quantity!
Telegame Station Remember the cool kid who had one of these? and how their homes used to be the ‘chill spot’ for the boys in that street. Boys will be boys!
Nokia 3310 “Student Card”
Snake game: Remember that boring hour class? there’s was no such thing as social networks, all you knew was trying to beat your own high score. With little success.
Pokemon Tazos Pikachu, I choose you!!! Uhm, Really?
Brick game Don’t lie, you know you relate.
Tamagotchi Yes, who would forget this member of the family?
These days we have way more advance games that seek to give us the most realistic experience as possible but I strongly feel these old school games give a warm sense of nostalgia and pure delight that our modern games fail to fulfill.
What was your most favourite gadget, toy or game while growing up?
PS: If your partner doesn’t know any of the mentioned items here… They Darn Too Young For You!!
