The Kings Speech revolves around the life of Bertie the Prince of England, in the time where King George V had just passed and England was on the brink of war. It’s a simple story about Bertie, who had a devastating speech impediment which hindered his ability to lead a nation who was in desperate need of a leader. It’s not just another movie about the royal family, it humanises them and highlights all their vulnerabilities in a way no other movie has been able to do.
