My first week at Live Magazine got me very excited and amped to write for the magazine. The fact that the magazine is targeted at the youth makes things easier and much more fun for the writers. The magazine is not owned by just one person but it is controlled by everyone contributing to the magazine. Ideas are shared and embraced because any idea that you might have may become a great idea to somebody else.
Live Magazine puts you through to a number of workshops which are there to help prepare you for the work ahead and what is expected from you or what you can expect from them.
I am excited about the fact that I will be working with many young talented people who all have an opinion and great ideas to share. We focuses a lot on teamwork and working together and not doing things on your own, but asking for help whenever you feeling like you stuck and don’t know which direction to take. The place is filled with great energy and with people who know what they doing and what they want to achieve here.
There is a diverse number of people working at here. It is not dominated by just one race or gender. Live encourages young writers. The youth are the only people who would know what their peers like to read. We all have the same goal which is to learn, let our voices be heard and to share with the public the things we can do or contribute.
The team is also here to teach youth who are inexperienced when it comes to the publication or multimedia industry, helping them learn and guiding them on the things in which they need to know.
Live Magazine has showed me that it is never too late to learn and to feel free to let your creativity out.
