A Red hot chili peppers fan was killed in Cape Town’s CBD on tuesday night after apparently being attacked while on her to the concert.

The 47 year old woman and her 29 year old daughter were walking to the show at about 18:00 when they decided to take a short cut through the Bo-kaap. A suspect tried to grab the mothers handbag, the police’s Andre Traut confirmed to News24 on wednesday. A source close to the family told News24 that the woman was related to a well-known local rock musician.

Traut said the suspect fled the scene. No arrests have been made.
