It’s the final day at Live for the Issue 6 team and I’m still trying to figure out where the hell the last 3 months flew to.

Looking back at all our crazy times, I couldn’t leave without describing (and exposing) each of the characters in the office.

Here they are:

THE WRITERS: Thulisa the fashionista, Dewandre the psychologist, Soyiso the 2-minute-noodle freak, Ashleigh the “Tina Turner”, Zizo the Queen of Gossip, and the Indian Grammar-Nazi twins Zakiyah and myself.

WHAT THEY SHOULD DO: Plan, research and write content for the magazine and website.

WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO: Talk, eat, laugh, sing, dance and order everyone else around – yet they always seem to be under the most pressure!

THE PHOTOGRAPHERS: Kgabo the nicest scary person, Tiny the no-nonsense mother, and Theodore the foodaholic.

WHAT THEY SHOULD DO: Shoot and edit photographs.

WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO: Gossip, argue with each other and sit on Twitter/Facebook/YouTube.

THE DESIGNERS: Rafiek the narcissus, Huda the comedian, Byron the gamer, and Thabo and Ntsindiso the uhm… quiet guys.

WHAT THEY SHOULD DO: Responsible for adding glitz and glamour to the magazine, ensuring that every page grabs your attention and are of poster-perfect quality.

WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO: Play games, mess around with memes, watch YouTube videos and take photos of themselves.

THE YOUTUBE TEAM: Terror the easy-going and fast-talking workaholic, Khanya the video editor extraordinaire and Snethemba the very very very quiet guy.

WHAT THEY SHOULD DO: Shoot and edit video footage for our YouTube channel.

WHAT THEY ACTUALLY DO: I’m not sure – they’re heard but not seen. An entity on their own and in another world cordoned off from the rest of us as they keep to their own little section in the office. They always seem to be going to cool events though!

Working at LIVE has been one of the best unpaid jobs ever! Even though we’ve only been together for 3 months, we’ve come to be a family in the office, sharing everything from jokes, sobs, cake, mugs and tons of advice. It’s been an exciting experience and I wish it didn’t have to end so soon.

We highly enjoyed putting Issue 6 together and hope our readers will be thrilled with the final product to be released later this month!
