Yes guys, it’s Mr Jacob Gedleyihlekisa Zuma’s BIRTHDAY! Our president is a staggering 71 year’s Old! Elected in 2009, he has kept is post without flaking out(as some have done before) and has become one of the most pertinently controversial figures South Africa has ever had (along with his frenemy, Julius Malema). Mr Zuma has had some ‘ups and downs’ in his term of office, from his alleged rape-showering-HIV/AIDS saga, to his bashing of white farmers through the popular jingle “mshini wam” (and who can forget the spear of the nation painting), he has managed to keep on keeping on (salutations Sir). HOWEVER Jacob has come a long way and is trying.

He has some impressive feats that no one acknowledges, like the fact that he joined the ANC in 1959, was an active member of Umkhonto we Sizwe in 1962,became a member of the ANC National Executive Committee in 1977, was exiled in 1987 but returned in 1990, was elected deputy president for the ANC and then beat out one of the most instrumental figures( or figures-adjacent) Thabo Mbeki for presidency by obtaining 824 more votes.

These are a few of the many feats this man has accomplished. Put aside the debacal about corruption, raquteering and human rights violations, this man is making history for South Africa.

It might not be the greatest difference but its a difference without a doubt.
