A Glamada Bowl of Entertainment

Based in Braamfontein, Glamada is described as “a lifestyle PR, marketing and entertainment Management Company” that was founded in 2007 by Andrew Chinanga. The commercial practice graduate says he started the business because he wanted to share knowledge and connect people on a larger scale

Andrew is a product of the Branson centre of entrepreneurship and he says that the experience came at the right time. “They helped me notice how differently I understood the general studies of entrepreneurship, by constantly showing me how differently I had understood business,” he says of his experience at the Centre. Glamada is different to other companies because of the foundation and value system on which it is built. “It might not be for everyone, but those brands and people that are so passionate and believe in the positive nature of the foundation of their gift will love to work with us because we are driven by passion hence it drives us and our clients to go all out,” says Andrew.

Every entrepreneur knows that failure is part of the package when starting a business because   statistics prove that 7 out of 10 businesses fail in their first year of operating.  Andrew remains undeterred by the stats because he believes that failure is not an option for him, “I cannot believe that you can fail at being yourself and allowing people to enjoy the product that comes from the knowledge of what you are at your best.”

As in every business Glamada has had its highs and  lows. Andrew says that his biggest challenge is trying to copy everyone and not acknowledging the link merging his business and his life, a challenge which he rose up to defeat.  One of his achievements in business is discovering his interpersonal skills and excelling in his ability and capacity.

He has some inspirational words for the youth,“Do not fear what you feel it is you innately are; from that power your aspiration becomes simplified,” he warns. He also advices aspiring entrepreneurs to find the level  their business is at and then do something to advance it which can be done through study or other creative ways, it all depends on where your business is.
