Our studio visit this week was with the versatile music maestro Banzi Mazimela known to many as DJ Blanka. Qualified in Financial Information Systems, yet music called him by heart. DJ Blanka is a head lecture at Soul Candi Cape Town, specialises in music production plus he is a producer and club DJ (does radio mixes). In 2011, he won the  Strong bow DJ competition.

We joined Lecture Blanka at one of his classes, to see how he teaches rookie DJ’s become the best in the business. When we entered his class, he was busy talking about the different kinds of Deejaying which varies from Club Dj, Mobile DJ and the other one which I forget as the vibey-club mixes of Rihanna and Titanium songs were playing in the background. His wittiness and passion for deejaying rubs of you as quickly as you hear him lecturing about different beats you should have on a song. I know nothing about deejaying. But I was hooked by his charismatic persona. He is destined for bigger and brighter things in the music industry. Since young and up coming DJ’S are taught by him, i am sure  we will have the best Dj’s in this country.
