Regardless of whether or not you like her or her music, she dominates media so much you can’t really avoid her.

She’s one of the most successful and consistent artists of our time. Robyn Rihanna Fenty burst onto the scene with her hit song Pon De Replay in 2005 and managed to stay on top of the charts, in magazines, on TV, and on some of our music galleries to this point.

With Rihanna heading to SA in a few days, we thought it was appropriate to compile a Riri Trivia for our readers!

*Rihanna was born on February 20, 1988.

*In February 2009 Rihanna was physically attacked by her then boyfriend, Chris Brown, who was later sentenced to 5 years of probation and some community service. She briefly dated him again in late 2012. *sigh*

*Her oversexed music video for S$M was banned in 11 countries within a day of its release.

*A petition was recently launched to have Rihanna dropped by MAC cosmetics for being a cyber bully thanks to her recent twar (twitter war) with Teyana Taylor. *LOL*

*According to her Wikipedia page, Rihanna has won 238 awards from 540 nominations.

*She has achieved 12 number one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, the youngest solo artist to achieve that.

*Riri has sold over 30 million albums and 120 million singles worldwide.

*She ranked #13 on the Forbes Celebrity 100 2013 with $43M in earnings.

*According to some magazines she has had over 150 hairstyles since she started out in 2005. Honestly, we’ve lost count but here are a few of the hairstyles she has rocked over the years.
