Pharell’s hat deserved a Grammy award of its own. The ‘Happy’ singer donned a ridiculously big hat that had everyone talking and the memes did not take long to flow in. The hat is so iconic, it now has its own twitter account! Check out @Pharrellhat for some funny tweets.

Taylor Swift also had people amused with her headbanging at the piano during her performance of ‘All Too Well’ In her defense, she was probably just trying to spice up the ballad.

“I guess ‘Gold Sippy Cup’ is the modern version of a silver spoon,” said a tweep after Jay Z delivered what might just be one of the best quotes of the night during his acceptance speech for the Best Rap Song Collaboration award for ‘Holy Grail’. The 44-year-old rapper joked about his daughter: “I want to tell Blue, ‘Daddy got a gold sippy cup for you”. Or was he joking? Hmmm… must be nice!

The Most Awkward Moment of The Night award has to go to Taylor Swift. The singer and her team thought she had won only to realize Daft Punk had actually won. Kanye must be having a field day with this. Arg shame.

Beyonce’s ‘Drunk In Love’ performance featuring her hubby Jay Z was the hottest moment of the night. The couple, music royalty, looked very intimate on stage and had everyone swooning.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis were joined by Mary Lambert and Madonna in a performance of ‘Same Love’ where Queen Latifah officiated the marriages of 33 real-life couples. The marriages included a mixture of mixed-race, gay and straight couples, so ‘Same Love’ was the perfect song as it is about equality.

Imagine Dragons & Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Radioactive’ performance was surprisingly one of the best performances of the night.

Kendrick Lamar lost Best Rap Album to Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, much to many hip-hop fans’ dismay. Macklemore later posted on instagram a message he sent to Kendrick Lamar. He wrote: “You got robbed. I wanted you to win. You should have,” the “Thrift Shop” rapper wrote. “It’s weird and sucks that I robbed you. I was gonna say that during the speech. Then the music started playing during my speech, and I froze.” A$$ kissing much?
- Ladysmith Black Mambazo won their 5th Grammy award. The band scooped “Best World Music CD” for Live: Singing for peace around the world, set for release in South Africa through Gallo Record Company in early February. Ladysmith Black Mambazo was the first South African group to win a Grammy award.
