Yesterday marked yet another pivotal moment in our history. Born Frees were voting for the first time in our 20-year democracy. People flocked in numbers to the voting stations and quite a lot of drama went down. But then again, drama is the little stubborn sibling of politics. Amidst all the #Thumbfies (a picture of an inked thumb after one has voted. Don’t know why it’s regarded a selfie) that people were posting , DJ Sbu and Juju were at each other’s throats on Twitter after Sbu called Juju an idiot that had potential before he was now a lie! (ouch). I don’t think there’s a single person that expected Juju to just sit back and dismiss Sbu. Much to no-one’s suprise, Juju fired back at the Dj about his voice not being for radio (hahahaha! I’m not laughing). “…and you know how you got the job at the SABC…” (Ha!) Wouldn’t we love to know how Sbu got the job! (sigh) Sbu also warned people not to mind Juju as he is just “another case in our democracy.”
“But it’s not a lie that you don’t have a radio voice,” is just some of what the EFF leader had to say to Sbu. Juju’s supporters also responded to the Twar between the two. A certain Mbuyiseni Ndlozi said, “I thought he knew about the voice thing, hence the entrepreneurship route. Pity ’cause it turned him into a parasite.” DJ Sbu was also told that no-one takes him seriously as a radio DJ because of his hoarse voice, and that’s why he doesn’t have a prime spot. He is a “stand in for Tbo Touch when Touch has other work”. Freedom of expression gone wrong? Sbu didn’t let all those insults slide either. He claimed that Juju knows nothing about youth problems and “Kalawa 999 and TS alone have LITERALLY changed than you [Juju] could ever imagine”.
@MbuyiseniNdlozi @djsbu @Julius_S_Malema Ja Mbuyiseni, that’s why Sbu is just a stand in for Tbo Touch when Touch is busy with other work.

@Julius_S_Malema no one takes what this idiot says seriously. You had so much potential Julius. You blew it. Now all you do is lie. GoodLuck

It’s not new that celebs fight over social media but you’d think some people would refrain from it. Maybe Juju and Sbu will kiss and makeup after the elections. Yes? No? Okay. Nonetheless, it was fun to watch. South African politics never cease to disappoint. Let’s just wait and see who’ll trend soon.
