First dates can be nerve wrecking, with the numerous awkward moments. So why bother? Because they can also be sweet, fun and sexy. Below, we give you 10 reasons why first dates are an emotional roller coaster ride.

1. Excitement

Yes! I’ve waited all week for this. It all comes down to this moment. Let’s do this!

2. Panic

OMG! What am I going to wear? Should I wear heels or flats? What if I can’t fit in my favourite dress?  I mean, I have been eating quite a lot lately.

3. Anxiety and Insecurity

What if he doesn’t like me? What if I say something weird and chase him away. OMG! This is too much.

4. Rationalisation

Whether it goes bad or good, it will make a good story one day. Even the worst dates become hilarious years later.

5. Joy

Yes, he’s finally here! He’s so handsome and he smells good too. Yay!

6. Thrill

Okay, there’s no turning back now. Let me just sit back and enjoy this moment. He seems like a really nice guy, so this should be good.

7. Shock

Uhm..What? Is he really going to sit there and text during our date? How rude!

8. Awkwardness

Oops! That burp was really loud. Maybe if I sit here and look cute, he’ll forget that it even happened.
