Today, all eyes will be on Parliament as they take part in the Vote of No Confidence against President Jacob Zuma. While many believe that Jacob Zuma will survive this vote, there is still a chance he may not.

  • The speaker of parliament, Baleka Mbete, will become the acting president until a new president is chosen.
  • Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng must set a date on which the National Assembly will elect a new president.
