This Wednesday 1 April, we are joining with the British Council Connect ZA and Ithuba Arts Gallery to host a drinks reception for the LAB exhibition currently open at Ithuba Arts Gallery in Braamfontein.
The Exhibition
LAB brings together three innovative, independent artist-run spaces from the UK to take over the Ithuba Arts Gallery. Acting as a hub for collaboration and connection between British and South African visual arts scenes, this exhibition considers the possibilities opened up by working cross-culturally. The exhibition features collaborations from AutoItalia SouthEast (London), Banner Repeater (London) and Eastside Projects (Birmingham) who curated the exhibition after immersing themselves in Johannesburg’s visual art scene. The exhibition you see here is the outcome of this engagement with Johannesburg and its creatives. More detail about the exhibition.
