Recently, Nkosinathi Maphumulo popularly known as DJ Black Coffee, together with the Bridges for Music organisation launched a music scholarship for prospective disabled students at the country’s premium School of Audio Engineering also known as SAE Institute Cape Town.

The DJ Black Coffee Scholarship is specifically targeted at disabled students who wish to pursue studies in sound production. It  will cover the full tuition for SAE’s flagship one year full-time Higher Certificate in Sound Production qualification, at their newly built campus in Cape Town’s famous Woodstock Exchange.

DJ Black Coffee expressed his delight and pride in giving people with disabilities the chance to have their say and pursue their dreams. He went on to say, “They are part of our society and in most cases no one really gives them an opportunity or listens to what they have to say. For us to be involved in such a powerful program makes us so happy.”
