Government has steadily increased NSFAS funding from R3.2 billion in 2009 to R9.2 billion this year. However, NSFAS reports it won’t be able to finance half of its beneficiaries, with Minister of Basic Education Blade Ndzimande further stating that post-matric students should consider options other than university.
