The Easter weekend has come and gone and I would like to imagine that, like me, this is the time of the year when everyone takes time out of their hectic schedules to spend some quality time with the fam; regardless of how many Cinnamon Hot Cross Buns you will still be carrying on your hips throughout Winter. So for my long ass trip to the Eastern Cape, I decided to invest in the April Issue of Food & Home Entertaining. With highlights of the current and upcoming food trends – apparently food is going back to basics by keeping it traditional with ‘African’ recipes.
Cooks and chefs really need to go big or go home with this one!!
Whilst Sweet Potato Pancakes served with Milk Stout Syrup sounds awesome and definitely a must try for the Autumn mornings to come – we all now that African cuisine is a tad bit more daring.
I want to read about Trotters in an Asian Broth served with Cinnamon Buns (yes, cinnamon really does make the world go round!) or cold slices of Smoked Ox Tongue on Garlic Croutes and a dollop of Sweet and Sour Sauce on top!! Now thats something to ride home about!!
Check out some of their cool baked recipes that will excite your sweet tooth any day, all day!
