Who remembers them?:
The Head Boy: He made his mark in gr 8, befriended the whole grade and then the rest was history. He always speaks his mind, is always in the top 10 academics of the grade and has the confidence we all wish for. Everything he participates in, he leads. His awards are endless and his valedictory speech will always be remembered.
The Head Girl: She is always under-rated and very quiet. What makes her different is that she stands up for her values and has the greatest pride. She always volunteers for every course and never says no. She is very sensitive but makes us believe in the impossible.
The Head of Culture: They are always in every musical production. In their senior years, they become the lead singer or actor for almost every school production. Some take the backstage role and find their “Behind the scenes” lead in production. Others are ‘front of house’, directing all the plays. Creative and gifted they are.
The Head of Religion: Is very spiritual and can motivate anyone if they are in doubt or just having a bad day. Always answers every question with faith in what they believe. Leading by an religious example.
The Academic: Always the one answering in class and initiating intellectual debates. 95% is just never enough. Every term they are top of the class and somehow always achieve above 100%. They always planning ahead and never hand in late submissions.
The Cheerleader: The one who wears the social crown. Has the looks, the moves and, who can forget that body? Always attends every party and makes to the lips of all haters.
The Jock: Admired by every single and ‘it’s complicated’ girl. He is best known for his status on the rugby team and his stamina during matches. Practice sessions are the best times to get a close up.
The Athlete star: Runs faster than us all. Has the muscles and calves of a bull. Always active and participating in every sports event.
The Musician: You remember the face but never the name. They’re the most humble and the one to talk to if your having issues. They always helpful with an enduring passion for music.
That Guy: He is always called over the intercom for doing something wrong. He takes no pride in his school uniform and disrupts every class. His a bully and loves to be around people.
That Chick: She thinks she is better than everyone else. Wears make-up to school and has the shortest dress.
Who can relate to anyone of these? or know anyone else that I did not recognise? High School is a phase where we explore ourselves and develop our personalities. For those who have matriculated already, do you think that you are still the same since high school?
