Between Miller Boomtown with Kendrick Lamar at Johannesburg Stadium and the Mad Decent Block Party with Major Lazor at Mary Fitzgerald Square, Joburg really saw its ass on Sunday morning!

Live was at both events, and here’s the cheat sheet to what went down.

What they wore:

KL: Printed leggings & crop tops for her & Retro Jordan sneakers for him.

IMG_7180MDBP: Booty shorts and pleather micro-minis for her, wifebeaters for him.

What they drank:

KL: Sponsor Miller took care of all the beverage needs for everyone in attendance

MDBP: Sponsor Olmeca‘s oddball tequilas (black, coffee, chocolate); R10 shots, anything from a sexy shooter girl, and Red Bull.

What they said:

KL: “Turn Up” / “Kendrick, Kendrick, Kendrick” / “Rhaaaaaaaaaaaa”

MDBP: “Cerebral jolsy” / “Put your hands up” / “Get down” / “ When I say Hey, you say Ho”

Our highlights:

KL: VIP treatment, sufficient space to dance, the live performances, Kendrick Lamar himself.

MDBP: Sexy stage dancers, hamster-ball crowd surfing, efficient bar, R10 shots, on-point organisation, inflatables.

Our lowlights:

KL: The long line to gain entrance to the venue (apparently about 100 people were still outside when Kendrick got on stage at 23.00).

MDBP: Stinky loo’s (literally stank from the beginning of the party); dudes puking in dustbins.
