When I arrived in South Africa last July, I didn’t expect that one day I was going to be part of a South-African magazine, published all over the country. I hail from Paris France, and coming here for a year was my first big move away from my home country. Now that I’m here I want to enjoy this adventure the most I can.

I’ve already worked for several French publications, but this is the first time that I have to write and publish in English. So Live Magazine is for a me a real challenge, not only because of the language barrier, but also because I have to adapt myself to the South-African culture. Being young in France, is certainly not the same than being young in South Africa. However, I’m young, and since I have been here I’ve realised that the youth of every country have a lot in common.

After three hectic weeks, here in the LiveMag office, I discovered a totally different world that I’m not used to and met a lot of lovely people, even if they still like to tease me about my funny accent. Brain storming, work shops, happy lunch break and serious work are now my daily life. Sometimes I’m still quite lost ( yes, I have to admit, I don’t have a clue of who is the new cool and trendy singer in Cape Town, Durban or Johannesburg ), but I learn everyday and I hope that my view from for a foreign perspective will bring something different to the magazine.
