With just a few weeks left until Issue 6 goes into publication, the LIVE Magazine SA office is nothing short of chaos, stress and anxiety!

Writers’ are under strain, trying to better their drafts but meet deadlines. Presently, I’m a tad Lily Livered, because I cannot seem to be content with what I have produced! The designers are losing their heads as well, but the unbearable apprehension is yet to hit them. Watching them go stir-crazy when we (writers) have just about completed our tasks would be wonderful (free) entertainment. Photographers, well, that’s another story. I can’t tell whether they’re still at work to carry out more photography, or whether they’re here for the free coffee and wireless internet. Ahem, that being said – my stay at LIVE has been the most amazing experience thus far. I had never imagined myself to be enjoying my job this much. My colleagues are amazing, the mentors are incredibly helpful, understanding and brilliant, and Gavin – the magazine’s publisher – is the one of the most awe-inspiring individuals in the office.

From food parties to YouTube Jukebox Fridays’, I feel like I have bonded really well with everyone in the office. Doing what I love, i.e. researching and writing, I believe that working in a fun yet professional environment has been an extra bonus. The abundance of skills and experience gained in this workforce has, I believe, equipped me to cope with any work environment that I may otherwise enter in the future.
