‘How is it working at Live?’ is the sort of question I’m asked almost everyday and I wish I had an amazing Shakespearean tragedy to relay to you but I don’t. Everyday, working here I am fortunate to experience the kind of fulfillment people look for in a job. Yes, there are of course days where I would much rather sleep in (for just a little longer) but then I wake up, pick a (‘hella dope’) outfit and walk into an office full of grumpy morning faces-which I optimistically know will turn into smiling ones, once the sun takes it’s rightful place in the sky.

The definition of an editor (according to the powers that be…Google) is:

Noun
  1. A person who is in charge of and determines the final content of a text, particularly a newspaper or magazine.
  2. A person who works for a publisher, commissioning or preparing material for publication.

So as you may have guessed, it’s pretty hectic- all that responsibility and all those Bambi doe-eyes looking to you for leadership (psst! even if it means answering a question first just to break the ice or an awkward moment). Oh yes, that guy Google also forgot to mention:

Noun
  1. This girl is always at a YouTube meeting/Writers meeting/a brainstorming session/a cover meeting/Fashion shoot meeting etc
  2. This girl needs the occasional smoke break (jokes..sort of…)

But I must stress this, I love my job even though it could get a little stressful. Come to think of it, I never really get stressed because I have a such an amazing team (and yes, I’m kinda saying that because they might be reading this). These are really the kind of #kwelkids who keep you on your toes, are energetic and oh so opinionated (like really opinionated…hide your kids, folks!)

Not only do I love my job and my colleagues but I also love that I never go a day without laughing because you know what they say:

”Consider your day wasted if you haven’t laughed yet”
