Yesterday 11 March the #LiveVIPZA Campaign was officially launched on a rainy Tuesday at the JoziHub offices in Milpark, Johannesburg. Social Media was a big part of the launch as Live Magazine SA partnered with Google Africa in order to have Google Hangouts with participants in Cape Town and Ginsberg and stream the entire event live on the Live Mag SA YouTube channel. The Twitter gods were with us as the dedicated hash tag #LiveVIPZA trended in South Africa for 13 hours!

voting has just managed to separate us. Unity is the way we solve things better, our lives are not up to be ‘won’ #LiveVIPza @LivemagSA

Have thoroughly enjoyed #LiveVIPZA. Great initiative. I’m really hopeful that some social initiatives come out of it.
