TheMail & Guardianwill be marking Youth Month with the launch of its wildly popular annual flagship 200 Young South Africans.Our research team, assisted by more than 1600 nominations which were sent in by the publichave hand-picked young people at the top of their fields in ten categories – arts and culture, business and law, civil society, education, environment, health, media and film, politics and government, science andtechnology and sport -to feature in what has become the country’s most celebrated hallmark of the up-and-coming generation.

The supplementwhich was produced with the support of our main sponsor Xstrata will be published in the June 14 edition of the Mail &Guardian. The 200 Young South Africans dedicated websitewhich can be found atysa2013.mg.co.za, will go live on the same day and will also be availble in an iPad edition.

To mark the launch we will be hosting an exclusive, invitation only event at a prestigious venue in Johannesburg.   Past guest speakers at the event have included Prince Mashele, Joel Netshitenzhe, Raenette Taljaard and the Minister in the Presidency for the National Planning Commission, Trevor Manuel.
