In August 2014, die-hard fans of popular SABC 1 soap Generations were shocked when 16 of its actors were fired leading to the soap being continued. The actors had been on a two-week strike, demanding a better salary and extended contracts.

You should know by now that the soap returns to our screens on December 1 2014 with four new faces alongside five familiar ones including veterans Connie Ferguson and Rapulana Seiphemo. We took to the streets to find out how some Capetonians feel about the new cast and the soapie in general.
