The Super Eagles aren’t the only  ones flying the flag high for Nigeria.

The African country boasts a singer-songwriter by the name of Dapo Daniel Oyebanjo, better known as D’banj who is currently signed to Kanye West’s GOOD MUSIC. He has one several awards some of which include Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards 2007, Artist of the Year at the MTV Africa Music Awards in 2009 and a BET Award in 2011 for Best International Act; Africa. He is widely known for his song, “Olivier Twist” which was a hit in the Summer of 2012.

Born Joy Olasunmibo Ogunmakin  in  Germany, Ayo is a Nigerian-German singer/songwriter – Ayo is the Yoruba translation for her first name, Joy. Her first album, Joyful which you may remember for songs like ‘Down on my knees’ was released in 2006 and reached Double-Platinum status in France and was received well in other parts of the world as well. She now stays in Manhattan, New York City.

These are but two successful Nigerian exports doing well for their country! Go Nigeria!
