Our girl B is still topping the charts with Jay Z continuing to produce many successful projects. We also have the newlywed couple Shota and Phumeza Mdabe, who have had an impact in the music industry at home. Both hubbies (Jay Z and Shota) are well known for owning successful record labels.

#Business Moguls: Nkosis vs Kardashians
The Nkosi’s Zam and Nkhensani are making it big in the film, TV and the fashion industry. This South African power couple are up alongside the Kardashians who are famously known for their reality TV show and numerous business ventures, making them both notable families in the fashion and entertainment industry.

#Royals: Mswatis vs Windsors
While most Mswatis are still in shock after King Mswati III announced that none of his daughters will get married with less than 100 cows in June, the Windsors are celebrating the arrival of their little prince. Kate and William Windsor received their bundle of joy this Monday afternoon, 22 July.

#Showbiz: Fergusons vs Smiths
Will Smith just like Connie started off from humble beginnings in the TV world (Fresh Prince of Bel Air and Generations), however it was evident early on that they would change the industry in their own right. Connie Ferguson left South Africa’s longest running soap after 16 years of service and the Fresh Prince had it’s season finale after six years. Along the way they both met their perfect match. Jada Pinkett Smith began her acting career in 1990 and never looked back. She married Will in 1997, started Overbrook Entertainment and had two children Jaden and Willow Smith who have both joined the world of showbiz. Shona Ferguson has been married to Connie since 2001 and has been on our screens for quite some time now. They also have two children Lesedi and Alicia Ferguson and their production house (Ferguson films) gave us the hit series Rockville. Talk about true family values!

#Politicos: Mandelas vs Mugabes
Some members of the Mandela family continue to be highly respected for contributing not only to the freedom of our country but as the parentive family of South Africa. Recent public spats aside, they will always be remembered as those who brought freedom to us all. Mugabe’s recent controversial interview with Dali Tambo, son of South African liberation hero Oliver Tambo, shed some light on this family that has reigned supreme over Zimbabwe for more than 30 years.
