Shema Revolution Launch
27 April 2013, Soweto Theatre
The stage was already on fire when we arrived on a chilly Saturday evening, to experience a rising generation of people who worship through arts. Soweto Theatre was graced with young, vivacious artists including Svuthe, Kevin, Lesego, Ramothibe “RMP”, Rachel, Verse, Lesego Songstress, Emmah, Katlego, The Divas, Zanele, Sox, James, Sandy, Tswi and Simlet all hailing from Gauteng. The performances in songs and poetic words, captured the vision of two young men, the founders of Shema Revolution – Teboho Sengoai and Thibe Pooe.
Shema Revolution is a youth movement that strives to inspire and encourage young people to discover their God-given gifts and fulfill their purpose through arts. It’s a non-profit organisation with a vision to compel the youth to Christ. The performances were phenomenal and captivating. I felt the presence of God was overwhelming and the audience was totally engaged.
Shema Revolution will have their next event on the 27 July 2013. For more information you can check out the website www.shemarevolution.co.za,visit their Facebook page or connect with on Twitter @ShemaRevolution.
