Scratch the text book approach, here’s a cheat sheet to the perfect Summer School wardrobe!
Monday Morning
An easy summer dress will take you right through any day of the week!
Check out Rozanne & Pushkin countrywide for a great selection.
1. Keep it fresh with a simple pair of white Tomy’s or Converse.
2. Decide on a bare-ankle look or a cute pair of socks on display – check out Topshop for a super-sweet selection of frill-top socks (pictured here) or dabble in the print-sock micro-trend with local designers, Toe Porn. Browse their collection here.
3. Don’t forget a cover up (a soft cardi is best for folding into your bag) for those long days that turn into late nights and chilly air-conditioned lecture halls.

Channel your inner rich b*tch with clean lines, classic colours and a sharp edge.
1. Nothing says fresh like a crisp white shirt.
2. Navy / tan / burgundy / touch of gold – go!
3. Hints of bare skin at the ankle or throat will help you feel fierce, but remember this is a learning environment – keep it PG.

Give your LBD a daytime remake for that don’t-f-with-me Friday feeling.
1. Keep the fabric of your dress day-pproriate with cotton or linen, or be cautious of where you sit in a silky or Lycra dress – tears and pills are never, ever a vibe.
2. Usurp the sexiness of a slinky dress with a pair of tough boots – these Palladium boots are waterproof too! A huge bonus, as every student whose been late for class after unsuccessfully trying to dry her pumps at the low-level hand drier in the bathroom will attest…
3. There is no accessory more powerful than a hot best friend. S/O.

You never know whose watching! Keep it hot while you sweat.
1. 5 panel caps are here to stay. Choose from sick collections by local designers like 2BOP and Swede and Crowe, or internationals like Obey.
2. Thin windbreaker jackets in great prints are big on the sportswear scene – look out for them from brands like Puma or go 80s original in the vintage racks. A far cry from your navy childhood classic, these lightweight pieces roll easily into your book bag to save face in the increasing frequent flash-flood downpours. Thanks global warming.
3. A good pair of kicks will take you further than far. Campuses tend to be sprawling affairs, and First Years will often criss-cross between departments. Don’t underestimate the amount of support your stepping needs! Rolled ankles and blistered toes aren’t exactly brain food.
