A grade 11 pupil ,named Uviwe Mzingelwa from Ned Doman High School in Athone(Cape Town), was stabbed to death on Tuesday while travelling via bus to school.

An 18 year old was arrested for the charge of the murder on Tuesday morning after the incident. This teenager, unnamed, is also believed to be a pupil as it was reported by, Golden Arrow spokesperson, Bronwyn Dyke that there was tension between the two but that it only flared up on Monday.

Uviwe (deceased) reportedly pulled out a pair of scissors on the bus and stabbed another learner’s fingers after there was a fight that broke out between the two on Monday. The fight then continued on Tuesday when Uviwe was confronted by two pupils and pulled out his scissors in defence. The two pupils retaliated and stabbed Uviwe in the heart. He died on the scene.
