Mayhem took place as the ANC Youth League was accused of disrupting a public meeting held by the City of Cape Town in Kosovo Main Street, Samora Machel, last night. The disruptive public bluntly refused Patricia de Lille to start the meeting without the 33 ward councillor Nico Mzalisa. Commotion erupted when police removed the ANCYL chairman in the ward Nceba Tshandana. According to Solly Malatsi, mayor spokesperson said the disruption is part of their on going ungovernability campaign. Malatsi added that, the crowd became disruptive as they were shouting and screaming which led mayor, Patricia de Lille to abandon the meeting.
IRRITATION-Khayelitsha residents poured faeces at Premier Helen Zille last night, after Zille went to Khayelitsha to celebrate the one year anniversary launch of the Western Cape government ”green campaign” initiative that supports organisation promoting green business such a community gardens and creating jobs in their communities. Residents were angry at Zille as they carried placards which stated that Zille must not come to their ward with apartheid legacy and they asked the question, whether Zille relieve herself in a bucket? Police had to use extensive force to disperse the protesters. Two people aged 23 and 26 years have been arrested for public violence. According to police spokesman Colonel Thembinkosi Kinana he said the two men will appear in Khayelitsha Magistrate’s court on Wednesday.
Mayhem keeps hitting DA land as this was the second attack on DA leaders in the townships, with in the space of 24 hours.
