We wanted to explore the different ways young women are made to feel conscious of their bodies, mostly in a negative light. From being catcalled to having strangers tap your body as you get off a taxi. Our team invited young women to participate in the video, through Facebook, and from that group, we got four to tell us about their experiences. We set a camera up in a room, they came in and told their stories to the camera. This mini-documentary called My Body, My Canvas, about body shaming, is the result:

Editor’s note: An earlier version of this article stated that we had three young women talk about body shaming, the team actually spoke to four young women. We apologise for the error.
